The California Institution for Men (CIM), sometimes referred to simply as "Chino", is a male-only state prison in Chino, California, USA.
Located in San Bernardino County in the city of Chino, CIM opened in 1941 on a 2,500-acre site, making the facility California's fourth oldest state prison (after San Quentin State Prison, Folsom State Prison and the California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi). As of 2005, it housed nearly 6,300 minimum to medium custody prisoners.
CIM operates a "Reception Center" for parole violators which receives and processes felons from several Southern California counties who have violated their parole conditions prior to transfer to other prisons, making Chino a first stop for violators. The largest minimum-security "Level I" facility in the California state prison system is also located at CIM, and houses over 2,300 inmates as of 2006. CIM also operates a 24-hour acute care inpatient hospital including a 189 bed HIV ward.

The term Chino is often mentioned in music and television but usually in reference to the prison located there and not the city.
- Rap artist Snoop Dogg has mentioned the prison in some of his songs, notably in Murder Was the Case.
- The prison is a major setting in American History X, as Derek Vineyard's personality changes as a result of enduring the prison culture and prison rape during a manslaughter sentence.
- In The Big Lebowski, Walter Sobchak explains to "The Dude" that a loudmouthed rival bowler, Jesus Quintana, "did six months in Chino for exposing himself to an eight-year-old."
- Is referred to in the song "Original Prankster" by The Offspring: "Rockin' like Janet Reno / Time time / Eighteen and life in Chino"
